Women-led MSMEs
CARE Nederland would like to take this opportunity to celebrate the contribution of women-led micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in economic development, poverty reduction, and offering hope to their communities in developing countries. Their significance in the global economy is now more important than ever, as this group of entrepreneurs is bearing the brunt of the social and economic shocks arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Women in Enterprise
CARE’s Women in Enterprise program, funded by the H&M Foundation, has supported about 270,000 women. A key approach has been improving women’s access to efficient and affordable financial products and services. In this factsheet, CARE Nederland highlights the importance of essential factors to be aware of when designing innovative, equitable products to enhance the financial inclusion of women-led MSMEs.
